Each University campus has designated roads that are completely free of vehicles. These internal roads are designed for cyclists and pedestrians, providing safe and comfortable mobility in the University space. These roads feature speed limits and traffic signs to ensure safety.

Besides, the University supports the ongoing initiative to promote the use of alternative transportation that does not result in air emissions. We daily carry out educational activities, inform students and academic staff about the possibility of using bicycles to travel to the University. We take measures to promote this mode of transportation.

The University also actively supports the constant use of bicycles by providing various services and activities to students and staff. It can include renting bicycles, organizing bike parades and providing secure bicycle storage facilities on campus.

Moreover, one of the University’s campuses is equipped with the electric vehicle charging station available to students and staff for free. It allows reducing the environmental load and promoting the use of eco-friendly vehicles.

We managed to implement this crucial step towards sustainable development by introducing the transportation program aimed at limiting and reducing the parking area at our campuses. This initiative has been very successful and has a positive impact on the environment and comfort of University users. It contains several key components:    

One of the key components of the program is the reduction of free parking spaces near campuses. It was done to encourage alternative methods of transportation and reduce the use of private cars. Instead of free parking, we support the use of public transportation and bicycles, which helps to reduce traffic congestion and emissions.

Besides, the University has adopted the efficient ridesharing program among its staff and students. This program allows bringing together people traveling in the same direction and using one car to transport several individuals. It reduces the number of cars on the road and decreases CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

Due to this transportation program, International European University aims not only to ensure sustainable development and environmental preservation but also to create a healthier and more comfortable atmosphere for its students and staff. International European University has three different campuses in Kyiv successfully located near public transportation, contributing to the eco-friendly and more convenient environment for students and academic staff. 

– The first campus is located near the Teremky metro station. It allows students and lecturers to easily reach the University using the metro and not to be highly dependent on cars. This is important in terms of reducing harmful emissions into the air and ensuring a more sustainable environment for learning and working. Besides, the University provides a commuting program for employees living in the same district using one car rather than multiple cars. The University covers fuel expenses to motivate employees to group up and drive together, not using each of their own cars.

– The second campus is located near the Chernihivska metro station, also providing easy access to the University without the need to use a car. There are buses running several times per day for students traveling to the campus from the West Side of Kyiv. The schedule is published on student channels.

– The third campus is located near Universytet, Teatralna and Zoloti Vorota metro stations. It makes the University more accessible to students and academic staff who can come to various metro stations from all corners of the city without using cars or taxi, reducing harmful emissions and contributing to environmental conservation.

– Besides, the campus in Poznan is located near the tramp stop, giving students even more convenience for commuting. In addition, the hostel is located within walking distance of the campus, making walking an attractive choice for students and contributing to environmental preservation, as there is no need to use cars to travel between the accommodation and the educational institution.

– The campus in Malta is also conveniently located close to the apartments and can be reached on foot in just 10 minutes. It makes the University even more eco-oriented and is great for students who do not require their own car to move.

The location of campuses and student facilities contribute to a more eco-friendly environment and make International European University in Kyiv, Poznan and Malta attractive places to study and work.
