International European University took part in the event: The Impact of Military Actions on the Environment in Ukraine and Green Recovery. Ecocide: The Path to International Recognition

The event was initiated by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

It was primarily aimed at discussing the current situation in Ukraine in terms of potential damage and harm caused to the Ukrainian environment as a result of Russian aggression as well as the 8th point of the Formula for Peace by the President of Ukraine: Immediate protection of the environment.

The event focused on the following key issues:

1. The impact of military actions on the environment in Ukraine and its restoration before martial law.

2. Formula for Peace by the President of Ukraine. Ecocide: national and international recognition.

3. Green Restoration of Ukraine: the role of young scientists.

Participants took part in the discussion of current crucial environmental matters and the future development of our country.

The event brought together young scientists, activists, human rights activists and people who care about the fate of Ukraine’s environment. Discussions were centered around relevant environmental issues of our time and ways to solve them for sustainable development of our country.
