International European University took part in information collection as part of international cooperation with the CLIMATEMED project.

The University participated in a survey focusing on the European medical schools’ barriers and facilitators of integrating courses on climate change’s health impact into curricula.

The CLIMATEMED project is an initiative of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme (www.climatemed.eu), aiming to develop new curricular outlines and teaching materials on the health impacts of climate change for medical schools. It also strengthens their capacity and provides students with up-to-date knowledge on how climate change may threaten human health and how physicians can cope with these new health challenges.

Due to the high level of University’s activity and participation, CLIMATEMED is ready to provide all medical universities involved in the survey with a free version of teaching materials for a 14-week lecture series available for full-time study and e-learning.

This will be a significant contribution to preparing future medical professionals for challenges of climate change and its impact on human health.
