
One held the Gender Silver Economy Forum of Agents of Change in the face-to-face and distance format, involving approximately 50 participants: experts in gender issues and silver economy, public and local authorities, employment services, businesses, education institutions, non-governmental organizations, coaches and graduates of the Gender Silver Economy for Local Development Program.
The University was represented by Maksym Zhytar, the Adviser to the First vice-rector of IEU.
The event was aimed at discussing the establishment of new economic thinking in gender silver economy and introducing the key results of the project implemented by CLEPSYDRA Association of Universities of the Third Age with the assistance of Kyiv City State Administration.
The event was opened by the presentation of social video designed to clarify economic and social possibilities for pre-retirement and retirement-age people, gender aspects of silver economy, as well as the core results of the project. Discussing the requirements for the sustainable development of gender silver economy in Kyiv, participants have found out that silver economy is and can become a more powerful resource to create opportunities for enhancing the competitive labor power and life quality, providing new jobs, as well as ensuring the innovative growth for local development.
