Anti-COVID-19 Winter School for nurses, doctors and medical executives. Part 2.

Svitlana Doan, the Vice-rector for educational and scientific work and postgraduate education, and Kateryna Davydkova, the Deputy director of student affairs at the Department of public relations and youth initiatives, took part in the Anti-COVID-19 Winter School for nurses, doctors and medical executives. Part 2.
The Anti-COVID-19 Winter School is a place generating and implementing ideas about medical education, healthcare organization, medical care for the population of Ukraine and other crucial issues.
It is a space for sharing professional thoughts among not only Ministers and deputy ministers, heads of regional healthcare departments, chief medical officers, vice-rectors, but also nurses and doctors in the field who daily monitor patient health, who are familiar with educational and healthcare problems, who are responsible not only for the progress in healthcare medical education reforms but also for their failures.
Participants enjoyed a highly topical program. Informative practical reports, contacts, negotiations, communication during coffee breaks, time for visiting the opera house, as well as reloading full of incredible emotions and the desire to improve Ukrainian education.
Attendees discussed infection control at healthcare facilities, COVID-19 vaccination in Ukraine in 2022, patient management during the pandemic, sterilization and cleaning; the healthcare reform, hospital possibilities, motivation for medical officers, advancement of the medical education system, transformation of hospitals to ensure more efficient disease combating methods.
It was not only learning but also exchange of opinions: tips on improving the medical education system, views of practitioners regarding education changes affected by the pandemic.
We express our gratitude to organizers, in particular, Kateryna Bulavinova and her team, Viktor Liashko, the Minister of Healthcare, and Iryna Mykytchak, the deputy minister, who took the time and answered all questions of medical professionals, as well as the best speakers revealing their experience and state-of-the-art medical achievements.
The Winter School also involved Roman Rodyna, the Adviser to PATH on COVID-19 response, Yevhen Sukhariev, the founder and head of Kyiv Cleaning School, Andrii Kozinchuk, a military psychologist, Oleksandr Danylenko, Acting CEO at the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Health Care of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, heads of Ukraine’s leading hospitals, regional healthcare departments, departments of particular Ukrainian cities, higher education institutions, etc.
The Anti-COVID-19 Winter School for nurses, doctors and medical executives was held as part of the joint project of UNICEF and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the World Bank of Ukraine, in collaboration with Family Nurses Association NGO, VacciNation NGO and Ukrainian Catholic University.
